For the past few months, The Bulldog Initiative has worked behind the scenes to build support for its efforts through its private fundraising phase. Today, those efforts turned more public as The Initiative launched its website that includes a contributor portal for monthly, quarterly, annual and one-time donations.
“During our initial phase, we have traveled across Mississippi meeting with individuals and small groups to share our plans and to make certain that MSU fans would support our NIL efforts. Candidly, we have been overwhelmed by their commitment. With a solid core of contributors and with an ever growing number of businesses seeking to participate in NIL marketing opportunities, we are now broadening our reach and working aggressively to continue to grow The Initiative’s reach,” said Mary Elliott Winfield, The Initiative’s co-director.
The Bulldog Initiative has previously announced agreements with MSU athletes through its Twitter and Instagram social media platforms; however, the launch of the website signals an expansion of its efforts to engage fans and provides a new, easy way for supporters to tailor a contribution plan to their particular needs.
